Roles
Overview:
The Roles feature under the Settings module allows administrators to create and manage user roles with specific privileges. These roles define the level of access and the actions that users can perform within the application, helping to ensure secure and efficient role-based access control.
Assign responsibilities based on job functions.
Control and limit access to features within the application.
Streamline user management by assigning pre-defined permissions through roles.
To access Roles, Navigate to: Settings Module > Roles Section
Key Features
Create: Click on the + Create button to create a new Role.
Search Bar: Quickly find Role.
Pagination: Navigate through pages of roles when the list exceeds the display limit.

Create a Role
Follow these steps to create a new role:
+ Create: On the Roles page, click the "+ Create" button.
Fill in the required details:
Role: Provide a clear, descriptive name for the role.
Description: Briefly explain the role's purpose and associated responsibilities.
Removable? Toggle: Toggle the Removable switch if you want the role to be deletable later.
Submit: Click Submit to create the role.
Cancel: Use the Cancel button to exit the form without saving changes.
Go Back Button: Use this button to return to the previous screen without committing new entries.

Configuring Permissions for the Role
After submitting, the form will expand to allow permission for customization. These permissions determine what features users with this role can access or manage.
Available Permissions Include:
Dashboard
Project Management
Test Management
Test Lab
Defect Management
Scheduler
Reports
Settings
Note: Only administrators can assign or modify these permissions.

Edit: To update the role details and configuring role permissions
Delete: to delete the role
Edit a Role
To update an existing role:
Navigate to the Roles section.
Click the Edit icon next to the desired role.
Modify the Role Name, Description, or Removable option as needed.
Adjust the permissions if required by checking or unchecking the relevant options.
Click "Submit" to save changes.
Delete a Role
To delete a role:
Navigate to the Roles section.
Click the Delete icon next to the role you want to remove.
Confirm deletion in the prompt.

Note: You cannot delete a role that is currently assigned to any users. Please unassign the role before deleting it.
