Requirement Traceability Reports

Overview

The Requirement Traceability Report provides a comprehensive mapping between requirements, test cases, and associated execution data. It is essential for validating requirement coverage, tracking progress, and ensuring that all functional and non-functional requirements have been addressed through testing.

To access Requirement Traceability Report, go to: Side Bar Menu > Reports > Requirement Traceability Reports

Key Features and Fields

This report offers customization and filtering options to generate targeted insights. It includes the following data fields:

  • Build

  • Module

  • Requirement title

  • Cycle

  • Executed Status

  • Execution type

  • Executed by

  • From date

  • To date

Report Customization Options

To generate a customized report, apply filters from the left panel based on your requirements. In the right panel, utilize the extended search option to select the columns you want to include by checking the corresponding checkboxes; note that the Requirement title, Test case name and Cycle are selected by default. The left panel defaults to "All," but you can change this selection using the dropdown menu to narrow down your results as needed.

Generate a Requirement Traceability Report:

  1. Open “Reports” module from the sidebar menu and select "Requirement Traceability" section.

  2. Apply your filters from the left panel.

  3. Choose the columns you want in your report from the right panel.

  4. Click Generate Report button to generate a defect report

  5. View the report on screen or download it in the preferred format.

  6. Download Requirement Traceability report in the XLSX or CSV formats.

Template Features:

Save as Template:

  • After configuring your filters and selected fields, you can save the configuration as a reusable template.

  • This feature saves time for recurring reports with similar criteria.

Saved Template:

  • The Saved Templates feature allows users to quickly access and reuse previously configured report settings, saving time and ensuring consistency in recurring reports.

  • View a list of all previously saved templates for various reports.

  • You can search for any report and view, delete, or bulk delete saved templates as needed.
